This page covers macroeconomics and international finance, industrial and behavioural economics, quantitative finance and financial mathematics, corporate finance and management. The 13 open programmes here are at Columbia University, University of Maryland, College Park, University of Oxford, King's College London (KCL), University of Birmingham, University of Sheffield and other universities; 6 accept applicants straight from a bachelor's degree; 1 state full funding.
Economics and finance PhDs generally expect strong econometrics and mathematics, and several require a master's degree; management programmes weigh the research question and design more heavily. Each programme page lists degree, grade and language requirements, so check those first and then choose an area.
For many of the programmes we work with, you can interview with a prospective supervisor before the formal application. Tell us your major, grades and current degree, and we will check which programmes fit.
